Tour 1 · Historical Pulacayo & Tomave Hot Springs
A day to travel back in time to the peak of Bolivian mining and end with a well-deserved relaxing bath in natural hot springs.
- Visit to the historic mining town of Pulacayo.
- Tour of the House of Aniceto Arce, former president of Bolivia.
- Exploration of the first bowling alley in Bolivia and ruins of the mining complex.
- Panoramic view in Tholapampa and possibility of quartz collection.
- Wildlife observation: llamas, vicuñas, and Andean ostriches.
- Entry to the town of Tomave and visit to its colonial church.

Tour 2 · High Plateau Lagoons, Rock Valley & Ollague Volcano
A journey through some of the most stunning landscapes of the Southern Altiplano: deserts, colorful lagoons, and Andean flamingos in their natural habitat.
- Visit to the Train Cemetery, an icon of Bolivian railway history.
- Panoramic view of the Valley of Rocks and its wind-eroded formations.
- Stop at Laguna Turquiri and observation of highland birds.
- Viewpoint of the active Ollagüe volcano on the border with Chile.
- Exploration of the Cañapa and Hedionda Lagoons, home of pink flamingos.
- Landscape of Ch’iar Quta, another mirror of water in the middle of the high plateau.
- Lunch on the way and return to Uyuni, passing through San Cristóbal.

Tour 3 · Tunupa Volcano & great experience in the Salar de Uyuni
The star day for many companions: pre-Columbian culture, unique geology, and the classic sunset with wine in the largest salt flat in the world.
- Visit to the Tunupa wetlands and observation of Andean flora and fauna.
- Entrance to the Coqueza Archaeological Center and its chullpas with pre-Columbian mummies.
- Hike to the viewpoint of Tunupa Volcano with a spectacular view of the Salar de Uyuni.
- Exploration of the Chiquini Cave, a geological formation of great beauty.
- Special lunch in the middle of the Salar de Uyuni.

Day 1 - October 23, 2026
Welcome to the Altiplano
Check-in at the hotel, informational meeting, and, depending on the schedule, first view of the salt flat or sunset from the hotel.
Tour 1 · Pulacayo & Tomave
Mining history, colonial town, hot springs, and countryside lunch. Return to Uyuni at the end of the afternoon.
Tour 2 · Lagoons & Volcano
Train cemetery, Rock Valley, lagoons with flamingos, and viewpoint of the Ollagüe volcano. An intense day of nature and photography.
Tour 3 · Tunupa & Salt Flat
Pre-Columbian mummies, Tunupa viewpoint, lunch in the salt flat, Incahuasi Island, and sunset with wine.
Farewell
Free morning, last photos, souvenir shopping, and return according to each participant's itinerary.
The final program will be sent in the Companion Guide weeks before the event.
Frequently Asked Questions for Companions
Yes. These tours are designed for the partners, family, or friends of the cyclists. The race participants will be competing during the day.
In general, the tours are suitable for people with normal mobility. If you are traveling with small children or elderly adults, please let us know at the time of registration to assess the best fit for your situation.
The walks are light and at a leisurely pace (viewpoints and short routes). Everything is designed for enjoyment, not for physical exertion.
Each tour includes transportation, a guide, and lunch (according to the program). Some specific entries may have a nominal additional cost. The details will be in the Companion Guide before the trip.
Layered warm clothing, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, water bottle, and comfortable walking shoes. In the salt flat, the radiation is intense even when it's cold.
When booking your companion package, you will be able to indicate which tours you wish to participate in. Our team will confirm schedules and details prior to the event.
